1981 DeLorean DMC-12www.supercars.net
The DeLorean was made by resigned to-be-President of General Motors John DeLorean who wanted to make a dependable car that was a total performance car, without compromising quality or comfort for price. With the founding of the DeLorean Motor Company in 1975, he set out to prove it could be done. The DeLorean was his first attempt at this goal, but it was a failure. The company went out of business due to lack of sales. Some 1981 Deloreans that are still around today, still have reported times of 125 mph, and a few reports of something strange occurring at 88 mph.
